We're very happy with our beautiful album from Serendipity. Even though our wedding was simple and small, our album makes it look grand, and absolutely brings out the best of our day. The album is very atmospheric, every page has its own themes, colours, and the designs are so lovely.

Our traditional ceremony was very well covered, with great amounts of detail. We love the layouts where Serendipity have mixed elements from both of our costumes, blended with subtlety and skill, and even though the photographic coverage of the traditional part of the day was so comprehensive, it has nonetheless been put together in quite a contemporary way. As a result, the photography of our traditional ceremony fits very well with our shots afterwards at the Langham and by the Yarra river.

Our photographer Julian was so patient throughout the day. He worked tirelessly and he kept us going and laughing. You wouldn't realise that it was such a cold and wet evening, the photos have so much warmth, and we look really relaxed and happy together. We're very pleased with Julian's understanding of the things that are of significance to us, for instance, the way he placed my flowers close to a series of candles in a shot was quite beautiful. Our album has all sorts of special moments and details that are really significant in Sri Lankan culture, like the breaking open of the coconut, which is very auspicious. A lot of photographers would neglect to shoot these moments, but Serendipity gave us a lot of coverage, and a lot more gorgeous details of the more significant parts of our ceremony.

The way Julian lights his photos with extra flash from behind looks very good, particularly at the photos at the Langham, where we stand out so well against the background. He kept everyone on side and worked so well with people; we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Julian as a photographer to anyone. He is such a lovely person and his work is of the highest professional standard.
